The Sussex Celebrants wedding team are excited to be working with this beautiful lovingly restored and family owned venue, nestled on the edge of the Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. We love the rustic charm of barns and this is set in a stunning and tranquil countryside setting.
Divided into three interconnecting buildings ‘The Stone Barn’, ‘The Old Dairy’ and professional kitchens surround a central courtyard, lawn and terrace making it a perfect venue for celebrating all of life’s big occasions.
The stone barn is very inviting with a lovely country feel, a fantastic space you can work with to create your perfect day. The stone walls and large glass doors provide a lovely ambiance, with lots of natural light, helping your photographer to capture your wedding photographs. You are invited to creatively style the barn for your wedding, allowing endless opportunities to personalise and dress the space how you wish.
The barn leads out to a stunning south facing terrace with immaculate lawns. Alongside a beautiful pond and orchard, you will be spoiled for choice where to take your photographs on the big day. The whole venue is immaculately kept with lots of additional rooms for getting ready and storing everything you will need for the wedding.
This is a great space for your drinks reception and for family to mingle.
The converted piggery is a wonderful Wedding Party accommodation with neutral but cosy décor. There is also a 17th century cottage offering flexible accommodation for up to 6 people.
Three things we love: No corkage, great disabled access, dry arrival for the wedding party which is especially important in our beloved wet UK.
We also love this venue because it is also such an amazing space for Naming Ceremonies and Celebrations of Life, which is a key part of our work. It has such a great ambiance to gather and share stories and memories, spend time together and holding a Funeral Celebration.
